Meet the Team
Hello! My name is Pardis and I'm in my final year of honours Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour program at McMaster University. I joined MURSA in my first year as a VP to learn more about conducting scientific research and meet science researchers, and this is my fifth year being a part of MURSA. I hope to enable passionate students to get involved in research opportunities and gain research skills through the workshops and events we host. I have always been passionate and curious about the human body and how our brain works. I have been involved in several research projects where I explore how we create false memories, biases associated with different features of the human voice, and most recently, I explored the effects of exercise rehabilitation for stroke patients. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and trying new online recipes, going on hikes, swimming, learning new cultural dances.
VP External & Webmaster
Hello! My name is Corie and I am a fourth year biochemistry student. I joined MURSA in third year as the VP academic and wish to use my experiences to help younger year students through the rough start of their research career. Together, the MURSA team aims to bring new opportunities, novel scientific researches, and great networking events to students. We want to expose students to the variety of researches happening at mac and help them through the process of securing a PI. Outside of school my interests include watching YouTube videos, taking fashion photography and trying out new opportunities. I am in the process of opening my own Amazon store and hope to use my brand to provide quality products for my audience.
